Today, many organizations are embracing the power of the public cloud by shifting their workloads to them. A recent study shows that 98% of IT leaders have adopted a public cloud infrastructure. Additionally, 58% of these organizations use between two and three public clouds, indicating a growing trend toward multi-cloud environments. It is estimated by the end of 2023, 31% of organizations expect to run 75% of their workloads in the cloud. The rapid migration to the public cloud comes with numerous benefits, such as scalability, cost-efficiency, and enhanced collaboration. However, it has also introduced new security challenges, specifically related to cloud infrastructure and connectivity between workloads as organizations have limited control over those connectivity and communications.
