Container technologies have shaken up the IT world in the past half a dozen years, and the pace of change has created many opportunities for IT managers who are enjoying the benefits the technology has brought.
Hand in hand with this, however, is the effect on existing implementations. Companies adopting containers will often have to cope with new ways of working, causing a sense of disruption.
Tim Mackey, principal security strategist at Synopsys, says companies have to start by asking what security improvements will containers bring to the organisation and what other changes are needed before going full steam ahead.
