IBM Boosts Cloud AI and HPC with NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs Integration

IBM has recently made significant strides in enhancing its cloud-based AI and high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities through the integration of NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs into its cloud infrastructure. A key motivator behind this upgrade is to address the rapidly growing demands for generative AI applications across various industries. According to a recent IBM survey, although interest in generative AI is substantial, only 39% of organizations have implemented it for innovation and research purposes. The inclusion of NVIDIA #00 GPUs promises up to 30 times faster inference performance compared to previous models.
